There’s been plenty of debate about how the Blues will prepare for this game – but even the wildest predictions don’t see the Blues deploying a back three with a recognized centre-back on the field.
It started well, with the visitors looking confident and getting off to a good start via a penalty kick. But after that Napoli woke up and they turned the tables. Fans on social media were not happy. An undefeated team is now losing and looking lost.
As many of them have said, any game Ronnie Orr has had so far has been a moment to try more. A must-win Champions League away game in Naples? Against Antonio Conte? From the moment we saw the roster, this felt like a crazy decision, and so far that’s proven to be the case.
The good news, though, is that you still have 45 minutes to change things. At half-time we could easily take Marlo Gusteau out at centre-back and bring on Reece James at centre-back. It will be interesting to see which team comes out in the second period.

There are some interesting changes in team news for this game – the Blues’ new formation. As you can see above, it didn’t work out at all.
Maro Gusteau also spoke about tonight’s game, noting that it is likely to be a thriller as both teams need to win and will gain nothing from a draw, which is an unusual set-up for the group stages.
