UFC’s Iasmin Lucindo accepts nine-month anti-doping suspension

UFC women’s strawweight contender Iasmin Lucindo has accepted a nine-month suspension for violating the promotion’s anti-doping policy, UFC anti-doping partner Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) announced on Wednesday.

Lucindo, 24, tested positive for mesterolone, an anabolic steroid primarily used to treat low testosterone levels and male infertility, in an out-of-competition sample collected in Brazil on September 24, 2025. As a result, Lucindo (18-6 MMA, 5-2 UFC) was scheduled to fight Jillian Robertson at UFC on ESPN 73 on Dec. 13.

Lucindo’s nine-month ban is retroactive to September 24, 2025, and will end on June 24.

According to CSAD, Lucindo cooperated with the investigation, which found that she did not knowingly use mesterolone to gain a performance advantage and that her low-level adverse effects were caused by contamination of the supplement. Lucindo provided documentation from a Brazilian pharmacy she frequented, showing that the pharmacy frequently formulated products containing mesterolone, including in potentially legal dietary supplements used by Lucindo.

Lucindo last fought on August 9, 2025, defeating veteran Angela Hill via unanimous decision. It was her fifth win in her past six UFC fights, with her only loss coming to Amanda Lemos.
