Zach Charbonnet’s season-ending knee injury before the NFC Championship Game was a huge blow to the Seattle Seahawks. However, this isn’t the only injury news for Seattle.
Head coach Mike McDonald also said starting left tackle Charles Cross is “day to day” with a foot injury. McDonald said Cross started in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers but did not play the rest of the game “out of an abundance of caution.” He went on to say, “We need to address this, day-to-day is the best way to put it,” regarding Kroos’ foot.

If Cross is unable to play against the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game, it will be either Josh Jones (who himself was sidelined with a knee injury last week against the 49ers) or undrafted rookie Amari Kight to finish the game for Cross. Jones was the starting left tackle in the Seahawks’ thrilling win over the Rams in December. Kate also impressed last week, including setting up Kenneth Walker III for his second touchdown of the night.
Regardless, Seattle will certainly want to be at full strength heading into Game 3 against Sean McVay and the Rams. That needs to include newly paid franchise left tackle Charles Cross.
