The winners of the 2025 Steam Awards have been announced, with players choosing Hollow Knight: Silk Song as the platform’s Game of the Year, beating out games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Dispatch, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Arc Raiders. Silksong is notorious for its extreme difficulty, also winning the “worst game” category.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, winner of Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025, won Best Soundtrack at the Steam Awards, while popular extraction shooter Arc Raiders won Most Innovative Gameplay. Konami’s survival horror game Silent Hill f won the award in the Outstanding Visual Style category.
The Steam Awards winners were announced over the weekend after the Steam community submitted votes during the Steam Winter Sale, which ended on Monday. The awards recognize the best games of the year on Valve’s storefront, as selected by Steam users from a pool of nominations.
Players can vote once in each of eleven categories. Voting for all categories opens on December 18 and runs until January 3, at which time the winners will be announced on the Steam website. Here’s the full list of 2025 Steam Awards winners:
