The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 on Sunday Night Football, defeating them 26-24 to clinch a playoff spot and win the AFC North title for the first time since 2020.
The game got off to a slow start, with the Steelers failing to capitalize on fourth-down opportunities twice in the first half and trailing 10-3 at halftime. Their offense slumped in the cold and their defense had no answer for Derrick Henry, who ran for 112 yards in the first half.

However, Pittsburgh clawed its way back in the second half, forcing a weird interception by Lamar Jackson in the third quarter and limiting Henry to just 14 yards rushing after halftime. It wasn’t pretty, but the Steelers led 13-10 en route to a dramatic fourth quarter at Acrisure Stadium.
The final game was very intense, with the two teams exchanging touchdowns late in the game and scoring a total of 27 points. Jackson hit two touchdown passes from Zay Flowers late in the fourth quarter to give the Ravens a brief lead, but Aaron Rodgers responded with a touchdown pass from Calvin Austin III to regain the lead in the final minute.
That’s when things got really unstable.
Shockingly, Chris Boswell missed the extra point for the first time this season, making it 26-24 with less than a minute left. Jackson quickly moved Baltimore into field goal range, setting up rookie kicker Tyler Loop for a game-winning 44-yard field goal.

However, as time ran out, the Lupps defeated the Ravens, ending the season in heartbreaking fashion and putting Pittsburgh in the playoffs for the third straight year.
The Steelers, the fourth seed in the AFC, will host the fifth-seeded Houston Texans as Mike Tomlin attempts to earn his first playoff win in nine years.
