Everett, Washington. – Police are investigating a crash in Everett on Friday that killed two people and injured three others.
what we know
The Everett Fire Department (EFD) posted information about the incident on social media around 11:47 a.m.
According to EFD, crews have blocked the road between Southeast 19th Avenue SE 100th Street and 102nd Street SE due to a “double fatal collision.”
Authorities said there were three other patients. One was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with unknown injuries. Two other people are being checked by medical staff at the scene.
FOX 13 staff spoke with police on scene, who said the two fatal victims were a man and a woman, both in their 80s.
EFD initially received a 911 call about a vehicle fire, but no fire occurred.
Drivers are urged to prepare for extended road closures and to find alternative routes.
