None of the 24 participating teams maintained a perfect record, but 5 teams conceded only one goal: Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Senegal and Algeria.

Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Mali and Comoros each conceded 2 goals, only 1 more than Côte d’Ivoire and Angola, who both conceded 3 goals.

The three teams with the most goals were Gabon, Uganda and Botswana – these three teams conceded seven goals in the opening stages and predictably crashed out of the tournament.

Here’s a ranking of the tournament’s top defenses:

1. Morocco: 1 goal

2. Democratic Republic of Congo: 1 goal
