Patriots open practice windows for Will Campbell, Alex Austin

Campbell, 21, was placed on injured reserve following the Patriots’ Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The first-round draft pick injured his knee during the game and was later diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament sprain. He was subsequently placed on IR, and the team still hopes he can return later in the season.

Austin, 24, was also placed on injured reserve after the Patriots’ game against Cincinnati. He suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for four weeks.

In addition to Campbell and Austin, the Patriots will have defensive tackle Milton Williams in attendance for Wednesday’s game at Gillette Stadium. Williams returned to practice last week after being moved to IR with an ankle injury suffered in Week 11.

On the other hand, several players were not spotted during the media portion of training. Offensive linemen Jared Wilson and Morgan Moses, linebacker Jake Westover, defensive tackles Christian Barmore and Shiris Tonga and linebacker Robert Spillane were not in attendance. Barmore, who is currently facing legal issues, was absent due to illness; Moses addressed the media in the locker room.

The Patriots will face the Dolphins on Sunday at 4:25 pm ET.
