The 2025-26 NFL MVP race has been narrowed down to two quarterbacks — Matthew Stafford and Derek Meyer — looking to win their first MVP, with Stafford appearing to be the loser ahead of the Rams’ Monday night football game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Unfortunately, Stafford may have done just that after throwing three interceptions in a 27-24 loss to the Falcons.

Stafford enters Week 17 as a -210 favorite at BetMGM, while Meyer is a +165 favorite. Meyer lucked out against the New York Jets, but he still led the team to victory with 19-of-21 passes for 256 yards and five touchdowns. He also had three carries for 22 yards.
The MVP odds were in flux Monday night, but Stafford’s poor first half and lack of comeback effort left Meyer as the heavy favorite in the game.
Maye was priced as high as -700 to win the MVP on BetMGM on Tuesday morning, and some buybacks later put him at -500 (implied probability of 83.3%). Stafford’s phone number is +325. Bills quarterback Josh Allen is one of three players with the next-highest odds (250-1).

Maye was BetMGM’s second-largest bet to win the award (6.5%) and the most total bets (14.11%), and was the sportsbook’s biggest liability.
Entering his second season, Meyer was 66-1 to win the award at BetMGM, but he led the Patriots to a 13-3 record and their first AFC East title since 2019. He also leads all quarterbacks in quarterback totals (76.5), expected points (108.4) and completion percentage (71.7%).
The Patriots are an 11-point favorite heading into Week 18 at home against the Miami Dolphins, while the Rams are a 7.5-point favorite against the Arizona Cardinals.
