When Snelling was questioned by authorities, she “admitted to giving birth” and “concealing the birth by cleaning up all evidence and placing all used cleaning supplies in black garbage bags, including the baby wrapped in a towel.”
A search of Snelling’s phone found “different things related to the pregnancy, pictures of her giving birth, pictures of her doing things that a normal pregnant woman shouldn’t do and pictures of concealing or hiding the pregnancy” on the Internet.
Snelling claimed she “passed out” on her baby after giving birth and eventually woke up to find the baby’s body “blue and purple.”
The cheerleader asked to be “examined” by medical professionals upon arrival at Lexington police headquarters, according to the incident report.
Snelling pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on $100,000 bail on September 2.
Snelling waived his right to a preliminary hearing when he appeared in court on Sept. 26 and is awaiting a grand jury trial.
After his initial guilty plea, Snelling was placed on house arrest and living at his parents’ home in Tennessee.
In October, a judge placed her on house arrest, requiring Snelling to wear an ankle monitor and live only in her father’s home. It’s unclear why the judge issued the new guidelines.
