Marquez is on the injury report this week with an ankle injury. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday, then had a limited practice on Friday and received the questionable tag.
Here’s what we know about Marks’ chances to play in Sunday’s Week 16 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Does Woody Marks have a game today?
Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com reported that Marquez plans to play in the game, although he still needs to be cleared before kickoff.

This week, Texans head coach DeMeco Reigns said Marks could return for the Week 15 game, but the team wanted to be cautious with him. That gives us more confidence in his game.
“Woody could have returned to the game,” Reigns said. “He sprained his ankle early in the game. It feels like Jakhar and Dell are doing a good job as far as where he’s at, so wanting to continue to move forward with those guys and make sure Woody continues to perform well this week.”
Final confirmation of Marquez’s status will come an hour and a half before kickoff at 4:25 pm ET on Sunday.
Woody Marks Start or Sit Down Advice
Marquez has been injured frequently during games this season, and while he’s almost always returned to action, that’s especially concerning this week given that Marquez may not be at 100 percent.

Marks hasn’t been all that great since taking over Houston’s backfield in Week 10, as he ranks as RB30 overall in fantasy points per game during that span.
Coupled with the fact that linebacker Nick Chubb is also expected to play, the Texans could be giving second-year edge rusher Jawhar Jordan more touches after his breakout in Week 15, which would lead to a scary situation.
On the bright side, the Raiders do present a favorable matchup, with Las Vegas allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to running backs.
But there are so many concerns about this situation. We’ll have Max on the bench in Week 16.
