Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Rams wide receiver Puka Nakua made NFL history last week with their outstanding performances, and they were named the NFL’s Offensive Players of the Week for Week 14.
Allen led the Bills to a 39-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. In the win, he threw for 251 yards, three touchdowns in the air, rushed for 78 yards and had one touchdown on his legs. This was the eight-year veteran’s 50th career NFL game, with both passing and rushing touchdowns, setting a new NFL record. He also became the first NFL player to record at least 250 passing yards, 75 rushing yards, three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in two different career games.

This is the third time Allen has won the award this season and the 18th time in his career. He is now tied with Pro Football Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Ben Roethlisberger as the fifth quarterback to win the Player of the Week award, trailing only Tom Brady, Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers.
Nacua was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after catching seven passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns to help the Rams defeat the Arizona Cardinals 45-17. In the win, Nacua recorded the 277th catch of his career, making him the most catches by an NFL player in his first 40 career games.
He also had his fifth career reception with 160 yards and a touchdown, making him one of only two NFL players in history (tied with Justin Jefferson) to do so at least five times in the first three seasons of the Super Bowl era. In Week 14, Nacua led the NFL in receiving yards and kickoff yards.
The honor marks Nacua’s second Player of the Week award this season, having also won the award in Week 4, and the third time in his young career. This makes him the second Rams receiver to win the honor three times, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce.
