It’s hard enough for the Phoenix Suns to face the 23-1 Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Cup quarterfinals. Now they have to do it without Devin Booker.
The Suns star will miss Wednesday’s game against the Thunder, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET in Oklahoma City, with a pregame groin strain. He participated in shootaround but was unable to participate in the game.
Booker has not played in a game since the Suns’ victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 1, when he exited early with a groin injury. He has missed two games since then, but Suns head coach Jordan Ott said last weekend that he has a chance to play Wednesday.

Instead, the Suns will be without their leading scorer for the third straight game. Without him, they lost to the Houston Rockets 117-98 and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105.
With Booker out, the Suns beat Phoenix at -1,200 odds and continue one of the best starts in NBA history.
