Former Real Madrid captain ready for emotional return; club shut the door on the idea

Real Madrid’s season has taken a sharp turn for the worse, with a heavy defeat at Celta Vigo putting Xavi Alonso under intense pressure.

The defeat not only deepened the sense of crisis at the Bernabeu but also overshadowed the major setback of Eder Militao, who has been sidelined for four months due to a serious injury.

So a blow of this magnitude could not have come at a better time.

With the defensive structure shaken and Alonso’s future in jeopardy, attention now turns to the January transfer window.

In fact, according to a report from the Defense Center, an unexpected but familiar name has resurfaced in internal conversations – Sergio Ramos.

Is this possible?

Iconic former captain Ramos recently ended his tenure in Mexico and is actively seeking a return to European football.

Currently without a club, the experienced defender would undoubtedly welcome a call from Real Madrid with open arms, as his relationship with Florentino Perez remains strong.

Yet despite the nostalgia and the symbolism of a potential reunion, Madrid’s hierarchy has remained strong.

The club believes that Ramos’ chapter at Real Madrid is over, at least from a playing perspective.

Sources close to the agency insist the 39-year-old will not be re-signed.

A coaching role is not ruled out in the long term, but as a player he simply does not belong in Real Madrid’s plans.

After the experience in Rayados and the personal challenges of living away from his family, Ramos longed to return closer to home.

Yet opportunities in Spain appear limited, forcing him to weigh other destinations, including the Middle East and the United States.
