49ers hit 2 huge offensive needs, key defensive need in 3-round mock

It’s difficult to determine the exact order of the San Francisco 49ers’ 2026 NFL Draft needs list.

However, three clear needs stood out, and they examined all three in a three-round mock draft organized by Pro Football and Sports Network.

With no trades in the forecast, San Francisco owns the 27th, 58th and 92nd picks. Their first pick has become a familiar name for the 49ers in mock drafts. Others filled some considerable needs in the trenches.

Let’s take a look at each option:

First round, pick 27: WR KC Concepcion, Texas A&M

Concepcion makes a lot of sense for the 49ers clubhouse, which could be in the process of overhauling its WR room this offseason. Brandon Aiyuk is retiring, Ja’an Jennings is an unrestricted free agent, and Ricky Pearsall has failed to stay healthy in two seasons. Concepcion has excelled in three seasons in college, including his first two seasons at NC State. He’s also a versatile weapon who brings an element of receiving yardage to the 49ers that has been missing the past few seasons. It’s unlikely the 49ers will find a direct replacement for WR Deebo Samuel, but Concepcion has a certain versatility in his game that would make him a good fit in San Francisco.

What PFSN said:

KC Concepcion is a dynamic receiver with excellent YAC ability and impressive speed who excels at making throws on the break.

During his tenure at Texas A&M and NC State, he was a reliable bottom-end weapon with versatility inside and out. His inner twitch and speed-oriented game would be a near-perfect complement to San Francisco’s offense.

Round 2, Pick 58: OT Caleb Tiernan, Northwestern

The 49ers must start thinking about life after Trent Williams turns 38 in July. Tiernan has great size, with the Northwestern Sports website listing him at 6-foot-7 and 325 pounds. He started all 38 games at Northwestern over the past three years at left tackle. Prior to that, he made five starts in 11 games at right tackle as a redshirt freshman. If the 49ers decide a player with that much experience is better than Colton McKivitz, he could start at right tackle. Once Williams hangs up his pads, he could also serve as a depth player in the frontcourt before stepping in in the backfield.

What PFSN says:

Caleb Tiernan is a tall blocker at 6-foot-7, 329 pounds with gap zone run-blocking versatility. He has the size, strength, hand use and spatial awareness to be a quality starter in the NFL.

Round 3, Pick 92: DE Anthony Lucas, USC

It wouldn’t be surprising at all if the 49ers use a pick or two on the defensive line in the first two days of the draft. Lucas didn’t perform well in college, allowing just 3.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss in 39 career games. However, the USC athletic website lists him at 6-foot-5 and weighs 285 pounds. Somehow he looked bigger than he did on the tape. If the 49ers are looking for upside on Day 2, Lucas is expected to select a similar type of player to 2025 first-round pick Mikel Williams. Lucas isn’t the same prospect, but he has plenty of physical tools to be a high-post project for defensive line coach Chris Kocurek.

What PFSN says:

The 49ers saw firsthand that their rushing depth wasn’t up to par as their defense declined in the second half of 2025. At 6-foot-5, 275 pounds, Anthony Lucas is a long, powerful defender with accurate hand placement and good pass-rushing speed.
