2026 NFL draft: A guard for every round

The Arizona Cardinals will try to address a number of needs in the 2026 NFL Draft. They can really pick any position during the draft.

Over the next few articles, we will discuss players who may be targeted in each round.

Let’s take a look at the guards.

Round 1: Penn State G Vega Yohn

Ione is the top guard in the draft.

Second round: Georgia Tech G Keylan Rutledge

Rutledge is funny. He started at right back in many games. He’s 6-foot-4, 316 pounds and has god-like athleticism.

Round 3: Kentucky G Jalen Farmer

Farmer ran a sub-5.0 second 40-second time at 6-5 and 312 pounds. He played two seasons at right guard at Kentucky.

Fourth Round: Iowa G Beau Stephens

He is 6-foot-5, 315 pounds and started at linebacker in three seasons.

Round 5: Auburn G Jeremiah Wright

Wright started at right guard the past two seasons. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 331 pounds.

Round 6: Oklahoma State G Febechi Nwaiwu

He started two seasons at right guard at Oklahoma State and made two starts at center.

Round 7: Texas G DJ Campbell

The Cardinals could select the Texas offensive lineman on Day 3 for the third consecutive year. He started his three-year career at right guard, so he was part of the starting lineup alongside Christian Jones and Hayden Conner.
