A recent report from Fichajes revealed how Xavi Alonso plans his future at Real Madrid.
The club are fully aware that this season has exposed certain structural weaknesses and Alonso has identified three specific players that he wants the board to consider as part of the next phase of the project.

Top of his defensive wish list is Ibrahima Konat. The defender’s situation at Liverpool makes him a particularly interesting case.
His contract expires at the end of the season, and that alone puts him firmly on Real Madrid’s radar.
If Liverpool are unwilling to lose him for nothing in the summer, January could force them to negotiate.
This scenario would significantly reduce operating costs and would be entirely consistent with Florentino Perez’s long-standing preference for smart, well-timed transactions.

However, the situation in midfield is more complicated. Angelo Stiller Admired internally, his arrival was anything but smooth.

Real Madrid consider him a player of ability and tactical discipline, but his signing is directly linked to a major exit from the midfield.

Only the departure of Dani Ceballos or Eduardo Camavinga would open the door for such a move.
At present, this scenario is not being considered and the club believes that alternatives with a higher competitive ceiling exist in the medium to long term.
As things stand, Stiller’s name is about to be crossed off, especially in the short term.
Finally, the third name on Alonso’s list is perhaps the most telling. Real Madrid boss makes no secret of his admiration Florian Wirtz.

Alonso got to know the player better than most during his time at Leverkusen and that familiarity played a huge role in his confidence.
While Wirtz’s adjustment to life at Liverpool has not been smooth, Real Madrid believe this is a natural adjustment phase rather than a cause for concern.
Not every player shines immediately, and Alonso remains convinced that Wirtz’s talent and creativity have not been affected.
