Phantom BC emerged as Unrivaled’s top team during the regular season of the 3-on-3 Women’s Basketball League. However, despite finishing with an 11-3 record, they were challenged by sixth-seeded Vinyl BC in the playoff semifinals, winning 83-75.

Kelsey Plum hit a step-back 3-pointer for the game-winner, surpassing the 82-point goal and advancing the Phantom to Wednesday’s championship final in Miami. It was her second straight win after Friday night’s regular-season finale ended with a short jumper.
Vinyl is aiming to defeat a higher seed for the second time in the Unrivaled playoffs. The Teresa Witherspoon-coached club defeated No. 3 Laces 82-69 in a first-round game in Miami on Saturday.
As one of Unrivaled’s top two seeds, Phantom earned a spot in Monday’s semifinals. Vinyl finished the regular season as the sixth-place team with a 5-9 record, just one game better than the 4-10 Moonlight Owls and the Hive, and thus became the final seed in the playoffs.
