President Donald Trump put a new coat of makeup on his hands on Sunday as he prepared for a new round of peace talks with Ukraine.

Trump, 79, welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to his Mar-a-Lago resort as he continued his quest to end Russia’s war with Ukraine, which he promised to end on his first day back in office.

When Trump took questions from reporters, the ill-fitting concealer on his hand showed up again.

Just days before Christmas, Trump showed a now-familiar bruise on his right hand and some discoloration on his left hand. On Sunday, however, his left hand appeared to be back to normal, while his right hand was still wearing makeup.

White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt reinstated the statement she had been repeating since The Daily Beast reached out for comment in February.

“President Trump is a man of the people, meeting with and shaking hands with more Americans every day than any other president in history. His commitment is unwavering and he proves it every day,” she said.

Levitt previously attributed the ongoing bruising to “minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin, which is considered part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”

The Daily Beast detailed the bruises on Trump’s hands, which he has been nursing for months. The makeup smudges, along with Trump’s swollen ankles, mysterious MRIs, insanity and biannual “annual” physicals, have raised concerns about the health of the oldest president to take office.

The White House has maintained that Trump is in “excellent health.”

The president sat down with Zelensky again at Mar-a-Lago, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegers, Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

The day before the meeting, Russia attacked Kiev with ballistic missiles and drones, killing at least one person and wounding 27 others.

Despite the attack, Trump said he still believed Russian President Vladimir Putin was “very serious” about seeking common ground with Ukraine.

“I do believe in our ability to reach a deal that is good for Ukraine and good for everyone. Nothing is more important than that,” he told reporters. “I’ve tackled eight wars and this is the hardest one. I thought this was going to be the middle one. It’s the hardest one, but we’ll get it done.”

The president has not set a timetable for ending peace talks.

“I don’t have a deadline,” he said. “You know what my deadline is? End the war.”
