Shai Gilgeous-Alexander keeps making history. The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has scored at least 20 points in his 126th consecutive game, tying Wilt Chamberlain’s NBA record.
Gilgeous-Alexander hit a three-pointer in the third quarter against the Denver Nuggets on Monday to score his 20th, 21st and 22nd points of the game.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s scoring streak dates back to October 30, 2024, when he scored 18 points in a win over the San Antonio Spurs. Since then, the point guard has maintained a high double-digit performance, occasionally dipping into, but never falling below, 20 points.

He averaged 31.6 points through the first 53 games of the 2025-26 season. Gilgeous-Alexander averaged over 30 points per game the past four seasons in Oklahoma City and led the league with 32.7 points per game during his MVP season in 2024-25.
Chamberlain set a game record of 20 points while playing for what is now the Golden State Warriors from 1961-1963. During that time, the Warriors moved from Philadelphia to San Francisco, and Chamberlain continued to average over 20 points per game during that time.
The Thunder host the Boston Celtics on Thursday, which means Gilgeous-Alexander only has to wait a few days before trying to pass Chamberlain.
