We asked you what you thought of Manchester City’s 5-1 aggregate elimination from the Champions League by Real Madrid.
Here are some of your comments:
Brian: Manchester City are second after two legs and Real Madrid deserved the victory. City struggle to score goals and high possession can get boring without effective finishing. The high defensive line exposed the weakness of the defensive speed. Real Madrid is a cohesive team, while City are far from a complete team and far from a Champions League winner. The squad is unbalanced and confidence levels are low. It’s time for big changes. Manchester City may not win any trophies this year. Fans’ frustration continues.

John: While trying to avoid the “game is over in the first leg” cliche, once the first leg is over, the game is over. City never gave up and Abdulkodir Kusanov’s performance was nothing short of astounding. It’s hard to argue with the final result and it was great to hear City fans cheering for their beloved team at the end. City until I die.
Yusuf: Very pleased with our performance against 10 men but sadly we are out now. I’ve been saying this all season – we need to work on our end product and convert our chances. Now all focus is on the League Cup final.
David: The team needs a new coach, one who wants to play attacking football, not one who wastes 40 minutes passing the ball and not going anywhere. Erling Haaland should never have been allowed into the Manchester City penalty area when the opposition took a corner kick. He needs to be on the pitch so when the defender/goalkeeper has the ball, there is someone waiting to clear it. This will create some excitement. There is no doubt that Manchester City is the most boring team in football. We need a well-coached team to score goals and not waste time.
Graham: The lads have done us proud and I hope to pick the same starting XI on Sunday.
