The Tennessee Titans will hit free agency as general manager Mike Borgonzi continues to rebuild the roster with plenty of work to do.
With new head coach Robert Saleh taking over, the Titans will change their offensive and defensive schemes this offseason and will have to reshape the roster to fit the system. Fortunately, with the way the roster is currently constructed, Tennessee has a lot of flexibility to add talent; it’s needed everywhere.

Even though the Titans enter free agency with the most available salary cap space, it’s unlikely they’ll be able to meet all of their needs this offseason. But they can make a difference before the draft and help build a solid foundation for the future.
Here are the biggest team needs heading into the new league year.
interior offensive line
It wasn’t a top priority at the start of the offseason, but after Lloyd Cushenberry was released and Kevin Zeitler and Corey Levine were both unrestricted free agents, Tennessee must address it early in free agency.
The Titans have an unknown in Jackson Slater who has shown some promise in 2025 along with Peter Skolenski, but beyond them, everything else is unknown. Re-signing Zeitler and Levine while adding a veteran center would go a long way in building the offense.

wide receiver
The Titans have some young receivers who are promising in 2025 but need to find a real difference-maker. With Calvin Ridley’s status still unknown, it’s hard to say what the exact makeup will be heading into free agency, but even if he returns, Tennessee will have to add a veteran playmaker who can win battles in clutch situations.
cornerback
This position is arguably the biggest area of need on the list. Jarius Snead remains on the roster, but all signs point to him becoming a salary cap casualty after two disappointing seasons in Nashville. In addition to Snead, promising rookie Marcus Harris is atop the depth chart.

2025 starter Darrell Baker Jr. is a restricted free agent and the Titans will have to decide on an offer for him, but beyond that, they’ll need a lot of help. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Tennessee add multiple cornerbacks this offseason.
edge
The Titans added Jermaine Johnson in the trade and have Femi Oadejo back after an injury-plagued rookie season, but must replenish the team. Just like the offensive line and cornerbacks, adding to the team in free agency and the draft would make a lot of sense.
tight end
Tennessee will have to decide on selecting unrestricted free agent Chigo Okonkwo, and their decision will have ripple effects at the position. The Titans currently have Gunnar Helm and David Martin Robinson on the roster but need to add at least one consistent tight end.

defensive tackle
The Titans traded Tevondre Sweat last week to acquire Jermaine Johnson, opening up a spot on their defensive front. At this point, rumors of Denver Broncos free agent defensive tackle John Franklin Miles joining the Titans appear to be closer to a foregone conclusion than a dream, but even if that happens, Tennessee could use some depth.
Sebastian Joseph-Day and James Lynch are both unrestricted free agents and could leave, creating some problems for the Titans.
special teams
Tennessee’s special teams unit underwent a complete turnaround in 2025 under John Fassel, but entered the offseason with some questions. With kicker Joey Slay, punter Johnny Heck and punter Morgan Cox all unrestricted free agents, it will be interesting to see how the Titans decide on the offensive specialist position.
