The Pittsburgh Steelers have received an injury update on safety DeShon Elliott, courtesy of 2026 NFL Scouting Combine general manager Omar Khan.
Speaking to reporters at the event, Khan made it clear that Elliott, who suffered a hyperextension knee injury, should be at 100 percent for the 2026 season.

“I expect Deshaun to be Deshaun,” Khan said Tuesday. “He’s a really good football player and he’s working hard. From what I understand, everything is going according to plan right now. Once we get to Opening Day, I don’t think there will be any restrictions.”
With about 13 minutes left in the third quarter of the Steelers’ Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers, Elliott suffered a season-ending knee injury when he was knocked down by Steelers safety Juan Thornhill and tight end Tucker Kraft during a tackle attempt.
Elliott’s return could not come at a better time, however, as Steelers safeties Kyle Dugger and Chuck Clark are set to become free agents in March. “
