Welcome to the final mailbag before NFL free agency. Thank you all for your nice comments on the new title, thank you very much. With the new league year starting in a few days and the draft taking place next month, let’s dive into your questions.
Q: Congratulations on the promotion
As far as teams in need of a quarterback. In my opinion, the Rams could go all-in this season and use one of their two first-round picks to trade McDuffie. I think that rules out Ty Simpson leading the Rams. I’m not sure where Simpson ranks, but I’d rank him around 35. For the following teams in need of a quarterback, you’ll see Simpson drafted earliest.

A: Thank you, I appreciate it. Anything can happen. We’ve seen simulations place him anywhere from the middle of the first round to early in the second round. Simpson has a Mitch Trubisky factor, as 2025 is his only year as a full-time starter. Considering he was initially projected as a first-round pick, I would be shocked if he didn’t go into the first round. No. 24 Cleveland might be the sweet spot.
Q: Congratulations JB. With the Steelers reportedly having over $50 million in cap space, do you think Khan and company will make any “high-profile signings” next week? If so, what do you think their target position is? – NH Steelers fans
A: I expect at least one splash action. Whether it’s trades or signings, especially wide receivers. Romeo Doubs, Michael Pittman are names I’ll be keeping an eye on. Safety is also a must. Jalen Thompson, Brian Cook, and JaQuen Blisk will be the names I’m watching at this position.
Q: Are there any good chicken wings places in Indy? – 4 cups 4 genes
A: Didn’t actually get around to doing any wings. But The Eagle in Indy is a very good place to eat chicken.
