A crash on Interstate 35 near New Braunfels Boulevard Saturday morning caused a car to hit an elevated sign, temporarily closing part of the highway.
Texas Department of Transportation camera footage showed a toppled highway sign in the northbound lane near the New Braunfels Boulevard and Frost Bank Center exit.
TxDOT posted on Facebook that all northbound lanes are closed near the New Braunfels Boulevard exit. Drivers will experience “significant delays,” the report said.

A video posted on social media showed a gray pickup truck swerving between the two right lanes of the highway. It eventually veered onto the grass to the right and hit a pole supporting the sign. The sign came crashing down.
TxDOT’s highway condition map shows the closure is expected to end around 6:15 Saturday night.
