Liverpool’s £10m mistake now clear
After his worst performance in history in recent years (9 losses in 12 games), Sloter is in trouble and many believe his job is in serious danger.
The Reds looked to have bounced back from their poor run of form with improved results, but now performances are slipping again and Slott is once again being questioned.

Manchester United and Chelsea, Liverpool’s two biggest rivals for a top-four finish this season, sacked their managers last week despite finishing just three points behind Slott’s side.
One of the biggest talking points surrounding Ruben Amorim’s sacking is that Manchester United must pay him the remaining 18 months of his contract upfront.
If Liverpool decide to move on from Slott, they will likely have to do the same.
According to the Mirror, Slott earns an estimated £6-8m a year, meaning sacking the Dutchman now would cost Liverpool £9-12m.
Sloter is one of the highest-paid coaches in the league, and while he probably deserved it last season, there’s a risk in paying such a high salary to an unproven coach.
