Indiana-based PARLOR Pizza + Pints opened its first Lexington location on Harrodsburg Road in 2024 and is currently expanding.
Now, the newest PARLOR is coming to Richmond. PARLOR CEO and President Don Robinson said the new restaurant will open in late March in the former Hooters restaurant at 241 Eastern Bypass, about a mile from Eastern Kentucky University.
“Bringing PARLOR to the Lexington market has always been part of our target demographic,” he said. “Most of the time, the real estate dictates the location. We really like the layout and the visibility.”
He said they were actually planning to open a second restaurant in Lexington first, but construction delays mean the Richmond location will overtake the upcoming Hamburg-area location.
He said a PARLOR will open this summer on Justice Avenue, near Harry’s, Drake’s, Malone’s, Graeter’s Ice Cream and others. Like the one at 2099 Harrodsburg, the burger joint will feature a “British Room” featuring art from the University of Kentucky Wildcats and local artists.
PARLOUR is an Indiana-based pizza chain that offers a wide selection of artisan pizzas, including “The Dr,” featuring an olive oil base, sliced provolone, shredded mozzarella, sliced green peppers, sliced red onions, smoked chicken bacon, jalapeños, sliced roma tomatoes and house-made pepper ranch drizzle.

All restaurants have the same menu and a very similar design, often with outdoor seating. The one in Richmond will have an enclosed patio, but it will have five garage doors that open to bring an “inside-out” feel, he said. The smaller site will not have individual rooms but will incorporate local artwork, he said.

This restaurant chain is known for its casual atmosphere, with plenty of TVs so you can watch sports while enjoying handmade pizzas, pies, grinders, gourmet smoked wings, craft cocktails and a variety of craft beers. Signature dishes include Sriracha Bourbon BBQ Nachos.
Why has central Kentucky expanded so much? Because business is booming.
“We were blown away by the way Lexington Market welcomed us,” Robinson said. “This is the first of all our stores. It’s really fun. I didn’t spend a lot of time in Lexington before that store opened, so it’s really cool.”
PARLOUR will open a new location in Richmond in March, serving pizza, grinders and smoked wings.

In addition to Lexington, there are three locations in Louisville and two in Indiana.
Richmond has a point, too: “We think it’s an underserved market, but we think it’s great.”
If you don’t live in Lexington or Richmond, don’t worry. As the work develops further, PARLOR may soon appear in front of you.
“We’re looking at a few different markets,” Robinson said. “We hope to have another one or so open by the end of the year, and then three or four a year.”
