break it down
We’ll hear from Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po and Securities and Futures Commission CEO Michelle Leung on day one of the Consensus Conference, with conversations surrounding the growth in tokenization of real-world assets, stablecoins and evolving payment systems, and the development of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Our speakers will include regulators and politicians from around the world, with panels discussing how regulators and industry players are approaching the industry – a conversation we have every year at Consensus, but one that is still evolving.
Privacy, artificial intelligence, decentralized finance and transactional behavior will also be among the many stages throughout the conference.
It’s part of a busy week ahead: SEC Chairman Paul Atkins will testify before the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee. While the hearing generally focused on SEC oversight, Cryptocurrency and Atkins are expected to shape rules surrounding the industry.
