The Notre Dame baseball team returned to Frank Ecker Stadium to a warm welcome as they continued their dominance in their fifth straight win by defeating Eastern Michigan 11-1 in eight innings.
This was the third consecutive game in which the Irish ended the game early, defeating their opponents 36-4. The Bats were on fire again, this time with Jess Lee and Mason Butt leading the way. They each had two hits, with Lee scoring three runs and Bart scoring two.

Aiden Zerr started on the mound but lasted only 2.1 innings due to some wild walking three batters and allowing two hits. The Eagles scored their only run against him early, allowing just two other hits the rest of the way to Xavier Hirsch, William Jassy, Chase Van Emed and Garrett Snyder.
The win moves Notre Dame’s record to 7-3 as it will set up ACC players to start their defense this weekend on the road against Duke. The Blue Devils enter the series with a 12-3 record and will begin play Friday night at Jack Coombs Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
