Marjorie Taylor Greene lost her temper in an X post on Sunday, accusing the White House press secretary of leaving the door open to military recruitment.
This weekend on Fox News, “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo told Carolyn Leavitt that mothers are “concerned” that their children could be caught up in a hypothetical draft. She then asked Levitt if President Donald Trump had plans to deploy troops on the ground or if military operations in the form of airstrikes would continue in Iran.

“President Trump wisely did not take the option off the table,” Levitt responded.
A slight ambiguity in Levitt’s phrasing was seized on by far-right conspiracy theorist Stu Peters, who posted a video of the interview to X while misquoting her as saying: “Trump may create a draft.”
The White House’s rapid response account attempted to correct Peters in a retweet, saying “She didn’t say anything like that. You just made it up.”

But Greene has taken the post at face value, prompting her to send out this angry message: “Caroline Leavitt is not ruling out a draft. The answer is no draft and how about no boots on the ground because we are campaigning on no more foreign wars or regime change!!! Every single one of them is a liar! Not my son, over my dead body!!!!!”
Greene has repeatedly accused Trump of violating foreign police promises he made on the campaign trail since the United States and Israel launched war against Iran a week ago.
“What happens to the person who I supported, who you supported, who condemned what happened in Iraq, who said, ‘No more foreign wars,’ ‘No more regime change,'” Greene asked on Monday on right-wing pundit Megyn Kelly’s SiriusXM show.
