Police in Dallas, Texas, are continuing to investigate a fatal shooting involving three people who investigators say met through an online dating app.
Detectives did not specify which app. Noah Trueba Was on a blind date with a married couple in their 50s, but that’s exactly what they claimed happened.
A statement released to the media about the shooting said Trueeva, 26, met the couple and the three drank and used drugs together.
“At approximately 5:10 a.m. on January 2, 2026, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 11800 block of High Meadow Drive in northwest Dallas,” according to the release. “A preliminary investigation determined that two people were shot to death at that location by a known suspect.”
Trueeva allegedly fled the scene of the shooting on foot. However, police used a drone to track him to a nearby highway where he allegedly tried to hide.
Trueba allegedly told police after his arrest that the couple tried to sexually assault him. In response, he allegedly said he opened fire, striking both victims.
Dallas Fire Rescue did respond to the scene of the shooting and announced Guadalupe Gonzalez57, died shortly after arrival.

The second male victim was taken to hospital in critical condition. Authorities did not provide his name or age.
Trueba has been charged with murder and is being held in the Dallas County Jail. The bond amount has not yet been determined. Additional charges are being considered, according to police.
The judge did not require him to enter a plea to the charges, and he currently does not have an attorney on file.
