Renegade earned the No. 1 spot and was a 4-1 favorite in the early going into the 152nd Kentucky Derby, but was eclipsed by the Cougars early Tuesday. With the odds constantly changing, Renegade is back as the favorite, but with company.
The other four horses in the 20-horse field all have single-digit odds: Happy in No. 8; No More Nonsense in No. 18; Commandment of the Post in No. 6; and Chief Wallabi in No. 12.

We also see three scratches, namely “Right to Party” (Article 5), “Strategy of Silence” (Article 13) and “R&F” (Article 20) no longer present in the field. They have been replaced by Robusta, Dabai and Ocelli.
Sovereignty won last year’s Kentucky Derby at 7-1 odds on a sloppy track. Sovereignty, trained by Bill Mott, won in 2:02.31. Journalism was a favorite in the competition and Baeza also performed well.
The Derby will take place on Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., with post time set for 6:57 p.m. ET.
