Treinen scored on a fluke at 17:10 of the second quarter to give Minnesota a 3-1 lead.
When Treinen lost the puck while trying to get past two defenders in the Lightning zone, he finished with a shot and took advantage as Vasilevskiy struggled to cover the slowly sliding puck.
Just two minutes earlier, Kucherov connected with Brayden Point and Jake Guentzel on a nice pass to tie the game for Tampa Bay.
Less than four minutes into the game, Faber scored to take a 1-0 lead. Zuccarello made it 2-0 on a 4-on-3 power play goal early in the second period, marking the eighth consecutive game Minnesota has scored on the man advantage.
