Jules Kounde had a one-word answer when asked about the controversial end to Barcelona’s clash with Girona on Monday night.
The Frenchman was fouled on Girona’s late winner, but the referee did not award a free kick and the goal stood.

Conde was questioned about the incident as he left the stadium and had only one word to say to waiting reporters. “Claro” is Kounde’s conclusion – one that needs little translation.
Television replays clearly showed that Claudio Echeverry was at Conde’s feet, leaving the Frenchman on the turf before Fran Beltran scored.
Girona head coach Michel was asked about the incident and shared his thoughts on the match.
“I think it was a counterattack. It can be called. If the referee doesn’t call it, VAR is right not to get involved. That’s how I feel,” he said.
“I think this kind of tackle takes away from the essence of football. If the referee sees the tackle, that’s fine, but if VAR gets involved, that’s wrong.”
