“We have to continue to follow what coach has asked of us, what we’ve done this week and try to have a great performance tonight,” DiMarco said.

“We are facing a strong opponent, just like we are facing teams of the same level as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
“So we need to stay focused and compact, play as a team, help each other and bring home points because today is important.”
And, DiMarco insists he can still improve.
“I try to make my contribution in every game I play,” he said. “But there’s always room for improvement and I’m trying to get better every day.”
Meanwhile, via an interview with Sky Sports Inter Milan NewsDi Marco demanded an “outstanding” performance from his team.
“They are a strong team full of quality players,” he said. “We have to stay focused throughout the 90 minutes. They are dangerous in any situation.

“We’ve seen over the years that when we perform well it’s because we are a team from start to finish.
“We gave everything we had for each other and we had to do the same tonight.”
When asked about Inter Milan needing to forget last season’s Champions League final: “It’s simple.
“You just have to take it one game at a time.
“In the Champions League, every game is difficult; tonight we faced a strong opponent and we need to stay sharp.”
