ICE officers were at a home in South Burlington this morning, surrounded by a crowd of spectators.
As of 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, the officers with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Deportation Operations Team were at a house in the 300 block of Dorset Street, south of College Station.
More than five police officers gathered around the small, white, one-story house.
A man wearing a black tactical vest with an ICE insignia said he was an ICE officer and confirmed the agency’s presence, but did not disclose why he was at the home or his name and rank.

On March 11, a Vermonter spoke with a man wearing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactical vest on Dorset Street in South Burlington.
The incident follows the detention of Hussein Noor Hussein, a South Burlington High School student and the father of a Somali asylum seeker. He was detained by ICE in January and released on bail in February. That case and more led to South Burlington students expelling students en masse last month.
