Clinton testified last Thursday in private testimony before the House Oversight Committee, proceedings briefly halted after it was discovered that Boebert had sent photos of Clinton to right-wing influencers. Bennie Johnson.
“The hearing is off the record because, as some of you may have seen, a photo was shared on social media in violation of the rules that were read at the beginning of the meeting,” the Clinton adviser said. On Monday, the oversight committee released the full video of Clinton’s testimony, including the dramatic moment when a member of Clinton’s camp discovered what Boebert had done, leading to the secretary of state’s dramatic exit.
“Excuse me, can I interrupt? Photos are being released of the secretary testifying in this room. Can you tell me if this is allowed and within the rules?” the member of the Clinton campaign asked. “Especially given that we have requested a public hearing, if photos of the Secretary of State’s testimony are released, please explain how—”
“I’m fed up, if you do this again, I’m fed up! You can despise me until the cows come home. This is classic behavior!” Clinton exclaimed.
after a member of the committee admitted she “did post one.”
“Oh, God!” Clinton shouted.
The offended congresswoman protested that the photo was from before the hearing began, but Clinton disagreed.
“It doesn’t matter! We all play by the same rules!” shot back Clinton.
“I’m going to take it down,” the congresswoman declared.
“Yeah, okay,” Clinton responded unmoved, agreeing with a suggestion from a member of her camp to pause. “Yeah, I’m done now!”
