Desktop notifications are one of the best features of modern browsers. They show previews of emails, football scores and even instant messages, allowing you to quickly browse updates without leaving what you’re doing. But it can be a little overwhelming, especially if it contains spam and ads. If too many websites start sending notifications or you need to block out all the noise, you should disable Google Chrome notifications. Doing this is very simple:

Open the Google Chrome settings page. You can enter chrome://settings in the address bar and click Enter or click burger icon In the upper right corner> set up.

Scroll to the bottom and click Show advanced settings.

choose Do not allow any website to display desktop notifications.

If you want to allow certain websites to display notifications, you can click Ask a website when it wants to show desktop notifications. Websites will now display notifications only with your permission.

Click Managing exceptions… View the list of sites for which you have granted notification permissions. click X to the right of any of these URLs to prevent the website from sending notifications.
This method eliminates desktop notifications from websites. But the app or extension can still send notifications. To disable notifications from individual Chrome apps or extensions, follow the steps below.
Windows 7 and 8

tap Windows key + D Or go to desktop.

Click the gear icon.

If you want to disable all Chrome notifications, there’s an easy way to do it. If you are working and just want to take a break, then you can right-click on the bell-shaped Chrome notification icon and click do not disturb. This will turn off all notifications. You can also click Do not disturb for one hour or Do not disturb for one day If you just want to get rid of notifications temporarily.
The next method will permanently stop all notifications, including emails and messages. If you need this, don’t do it. If you’re sure you need to delete all Chrome notifications, keep reading.
