Speaking ahead of their FA Cup fourth round tie against Salford, the City boss said: “He’s not 100 per cent yet but we’ll see how he feels today.
“The doctor told me it wasn’t a big problem, but something was bothering him before and during the game. That’s why he didn’t play in the second half.”
John Stones returned to the squad in midweek after two months out injured. Guardiola confirmed he could be an option for Salford.
“Fortunately, he has completed two or three training sessions and we will see tomorrow if he plays or how many minutes he will play,” he said.
The Spaniard is not considering questions over the future of Bernardo Silva, with the Portugal international’s contract expiring at the end of the season.

Guardiola said: “I don’t know his future. I told him ‘let me know when you make your decision’, but I don’t know.”
The Spaniard was full of praise for Silva, saying: “He can talk, but the best leadership is by example. No one in the dressing room can deny that he has that.”
