Police then jumped into a nearby golf cart and followed.

Body camera video released by SSPD shows officers quickly closing the distance in an unusual chase on the golf course. The chase was brief and police quickly caught the suspect.

Police said the suspect was arrested and no one was injured.

SSPD would like to remind the public that while golf carts are great for getting around the course, they are not an effective getaway vehicle.

The suspect’s identity has not been released.
