Harbaugh believes the reason for an immediate turnaround is a combination of having really good players, building a strong coaching staff and the league’s razor-thin margins. By a slim margin, he means the Giants aren’t as far away as their record (7-27 the past two years) suggests. They lost seven games last season by one possession.

Odell Beckham Jr. came to Arizona’s Biltmore Stadium during the NFL’s annual meeting and met with New York Giants coach John Harbaugh on Monday to discuss the possibility of joining the team, sources told ESPN. Beckham also presented his case to team brass. Multiple sources told ESPN that no deal will be done in the short term.
Even though Beckham didn’t play last season, there was some level of interest from the Giants. The 33-year-old wide receiver has expressed his desire to return to where it all began. It’s possible that Beckham will at least try out with the team in the coming weeks. The Giants may need to see this before they have a real chance at a reunion.

John Harbaugh did some wonderful things in his 18 years with the Ravens.
Both achievements – one a final team achievement and the other an individual accolade – he experienced each only once. His only Super Bowl win came after the 2012 season. For his performance in the 2019 season, he won the only Coach of the Year award.

If Jeremiah Love is ruled out, I think the Giants’ No. 1 pick will come down to Styles vs. Caleb Downs. I picked Styles because he’s more impressive physically and could become a future star behind a good performance. Pregnon fits the Giants’ need for more OL help and the physical tone John Harbaugh wants to set, as evidenced by the team’s current free-agent moves. Two draft picks, two possible starters — not too shabby.

So it’s no surprise that when the NFL’s annual meeting kicked off in Arizona on Sunday, Mara’s presence seemed to brighten the drab gathering more than the desert sun. Wherever he went, people were obviously overjoyed to see him.
The future of the league’s cornerstone franchise was suddenly in jeopardy. Marra remains in charge of the team and still works regularly in the East Rutherford office, but his health has certainly raised questions about the future of his family’s stake in the team. His younger brother, Chris, took a more active role in John Harbaugh’s recruitment, but any succession plan beyond those two is murky. What will the next generation plan to do when they inherit the rights to the pigskin?
For now, the situation remains relatively stable. Marla, as always, delivers. He may need his daughter’s help to help him navigate the room these days, but it’s Marla herself who holds the Giants back. This remains his greatest asset.

When asked by reporters if there was an update on the situation, specifically whether the league had reason to take action under the personal conduct policy, Goodell responded: “Not yet. As we said, we’re going to follow the facts. We’ve been doing that. We’re very focused on making sure we understand everything that’s out there.
