Fox Business Channel host Maria Bartiromo Insists the president says everything is going well with the economy Donald Trump.

Trump has been troubled by polls showing that a majority of Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy. According to a Fox News poll last month, only 36% of Americans approved of his performance on the issue. Meanwhile, nearly half of Americans say Trump’s policies have hurt them personally.

But when asked this week what grade he would give the economy, Trump responded: “A++++++” and claimed that “prices are coming down significantly.”

on friday Hannitythe host and Bartiromo tried to counter the prevailing popular sentiment.

Sean Hannity Pointing out the drop in gas prices and asking his guest, “What’s your analysis?”

Bartiromo began by lashing out at the Biden administration, during which inflation hit a 40-year high.

“We remember when [Consumer Price Index] It’s up 9.1%,” she said. “President Trump made it a priority the second time he walked into the Oval Office. This is his first priority. You mentioned energy. Yeah, that was one of the key strategic approaches that he used in controlling inflation, by putting more oil on the market, basically sending the message to the market that more oil was coming because we were going to ‘drill, baby, drill.’ “

She then turned to voters’ concerns about affordability, which Trump called a “hoax” created by Democrats. Bartiromo said she agreed:

Of course, some items are still very expensive. People are frustrated with housing and housing prices. People get frustrated with certain foods. But President Trump has been incredibly successful at many things.

So when he says this affordability issue is a hoax, he’s right! He was basically talking about how Democrats are taking the word “affordability” and using it as their calling card for the 2026 elections. They think the Democratic wins we just saw in Miami, New York City, New Jersey, and other places, we shouldn’t be surprised that Democrats won those races. These are all blue states and cities. So, it’s not surprising. What’s amazing is that, all these years later, the Republican Party continues to be overwhelmed by the Democratic message. I gotta tell you, I don’t think people are feeling as bad as the Democrats are saying.

The economy is doing well.

Bartiromo went on to cite Trump’s ridiculous claims of nearly $20 trillion in foreign investment in the United States

“There’s already $18 trillion in new investment in this country,” she said.

According to the White House website, Trump has received “$9.6 trillion,” but even that number is quite dubious. This amount represents the sum of figures merely promised, pledged or disclosed, regardless of the existence of any legally binding agreement. For example, the White House touted Saudi Arabia’s pledge to invest $1 trillion, but it was not binding in any way. Moreover, this number is almost equivalent to the entire GDP of Saudi Arabia.

Trump has been criticized for his enthusiastic assessment of the economy, even within his own party. This week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said of the president’s upbeat economic rating, “You can’t goad people and tell them their bills are affordable, and you can’t tell them the economy is at an A+++ level. You just can’t do that, and I think it’s an insult to people’s intelligence.”
