PARIS, March 6 (Reuters) – Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said in an interview with France 24 television that EU member states that join the United States and Israel in attacking Iran will become “legitimate targets” for Iran.
“Any country that joins the aggression against Iran, joins the United States and Israel in aggression against Iran, will certainly become a legitimate target of Iranian retaliation,” Takht-Ravanchi said.
* While some EU countries, including France, Greece and Italy, have sent warships to the Middle East and most top EU officials have condemned Iranian attacks in the region, they have mostly called for an end to the conflict and called for a diplomatic solution. * German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Friday that Berlin was working with partners to find a way to end the fight with Iran, while saying Germany shared goals with the United States and Israel.
