How to download EPFO member passbook through member portal
- Please visit EPFO Member Portal or click here.
- Log in to the portal using your UAN number and password.
- Your registered phone number will receive OTP > Enter OTP to log in.
- from view drop-down menu, click Passbook.
- Alternatively, you can click Passbook Lite version button to view employer and employee contributions to your EPFO account. However, you cannot download this version.

- If you are an Android user, download the UMANG app from the Google Play Store; if you have an iPhone, download it from Apple’s App Store.
- Open the UMANG app on your phone.
- If you are an existing user, please log in to the app using your registered phone number and PIN, or register to create a new account.
- After logging in, your UMANG dashboard will be displayed.
- Navigate to Serve tab appears at the bottom of the screen or search for “EPFO Passbook” search tabs at the top of the screen.
- click View passbook button > Enter your UAN number > Click submit button.
- You will receive OTP on your registered phone number > Enter OTP and click submit button.
- Click View passbook button in the upper left corner of the screen.
- A new screen will appear showing all the organizations you have worked with in the past.
- Click on your company name to view employer and employee contributions to your EPFO account, transaction dates, past withdrawals, your EPF balance and your member ID.
- Then, click download A button appears in the lower left corner of the screen for offline viewing.
How to download EPFO membership passbook through SMS and missed calls
Before proceeding, please ensure that you have registered your phone number with UAN on the EPFO member portal and completed the KYC process using your bank account number, Aadhaar or PAN. If you have successfully completed this process, follow the steps mentioned below.
- Open your phone’s dialer app.
- To get your EPFO passbook, please call 9966044425 From your registered phone number.
- The phone will automatically hang up after ringing a few times.
- An SMS will be sent to your registered phone number containing the details of your last EPFO transaction and account balance.
- Alternatively, you can get the same information by sending an SMS to EPFO.
- Open a new message window on your phone.
