After these two big moves, Miami’s next most obvious decision is Tua Tagovailoa’s future with the Dolphins. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan may cut him, try to trade him, or keep him.
How does Tagovailoa feel about facing such uncertainty? According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques, Sullivan revealed that Tagovailoa’s representatives shared a shaky message about how they view the left-handed quarterback’s future in Miami.

Sullivan mentioned that “everything is on the table” for Tagovailoa this offseason, leading to uncertainty about the Dolphins’ future.
With or without Tagovailoa, the Dolphins can consider any path forward this offseason. The left-handed quarterback knows this but has not made it clear he would be willing to return.

Tagovailoa’s lack of commitment to the Dolphins through his representatives doesn’t bode well for the left-handed quarterback returning to the Dolphins in 2026.
Whether it’s a release or a trade, Tagovailoa’s future in Miami appears to be on the line this offseason. Of course, there’s still a chance he’ll stay with the Dolphins, but based on Sullivan’s comments, that seems unlikely.
