The Miami Dolphins have one Pro Bowl player on their 2025 roster – and not surprisingly, that player is running back De’Von Achane.

Archaon was named to the AFC’s 2025 Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday morning, joining James Cook of the Buffalo Bills and Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts in receiving the honor. Miami’s 24-year-old ball carrier has 220 rushing attempts for 1,267 yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He also added 64 catches for 459 yards and four receiving touchdowns. This is Archaon’s first Pro Bowl selection.

Akan ranks fifth in the entire NFL with 1,726 yards from scrimmage this season, trailing only Bejan Robinson of the Atlanta Falcons, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, Taylor and Cook.

While Akan was Miami’s only Pro Bowl starter, four players were named alternates for the game – linebacker Alec Ingold (first alternate), receiver Jalen Waddle (third alternate), safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (third alternate) and linebacker Jordyn Brooks (first alternate).

Brooks being left out of the 2025 Pro Bowl starting lineup is a head-scratcher because his performance as an inside linebacker during the 2025 season far exceeded that of the players selected before him.

Aziz Alshahir of the Houston Texans had 96 tackles, 0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception. Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens totaled 124 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 forced fumbles and 0 interceptions. Jordyn Brooks totaled 169 tackles (leading the league), 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 0 interceptions.

Brooks and Dolphins fans both have good reason to be “snubby” about his Pro Bowl status this season.
