Country star to open bar at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk. What to know

One of country’s biggest stars is opening their fan-favorite bar in Florida.

Country singer Luke Combs and Opry Entertainment Group have announced they will open a third location for their Category 10 music group at CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort.

“There’s a line in my song 1, 2 Many that says, ‘Once I get started, no one can stop me. “Well, I guess you could say the same thing about Cat 10 now,” Combs said in a statement. “I know Orlando is a global destination, so I’m very excited and humbled that we’re opening a location there.”

Opry Entertainment Group plans to break ground in Orlando in the summer of 2026, with the venue set to open later in 2027. Here’s what we know so far.

Who is Luke Combs? Is Luke Combs from Florida?

Luke Combs, 35, is an award-winning country music singer and songwriter. He has nearly 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has collaborated with artists such as Post Malone and Tracy Chapman.

Combs is not from Florida; However, his wife, Nicole Hocking, was born and raised in Florida. She attended Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers.

“My wife is from Florida, so we are both very excited about this. I’m excited to bring our brand of great service and great music to the Sunshine State,” he also shared in the press release.

Combs made state and national news in Florida in 2023 when he publicly apologized to a Pinellas County woman who was ordered to pay $250,000 for using his likeness on glasses sold online. He said he had zero knowledge of the lawsuit and would try to make things right.

Where is CityWalk at Universal Orlando located?

Universal Orlando Walk is located at 6000 Universal Blvd., Orlando.

Where will “Category 10” be located in CityWalk?

It’s unclear exactly where it will be located on Universal Orlando’s The Walk, but officials have revealed it will be a 33,000-square-foot, three-story bar.

The Orlando location will join the Nashville flagship bar opening in 2024 and the recently announced Las Vegas location opening later in 2026.
