For those hoping to see Jaxon Dutt and Jaden Daniels square off in this Sunday’s New York Giants-Washington Commander game at MetLife Stadium, you’ll have to wait until next season.

Daniels was ruled out for this week’s game after re-injuring his left elbow in the Commanders’ 31-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn updated the media on Daniels’ condition on Wednesday.

Daniels returned to the lineup last week after missing three games with a non-throwing elbow injury. He injured his elbow again on Sunday and was forced to miss the game.

Quinn didn’t say the 3-10 Commander was ready to shut down Daniels for the season.

Daniels, the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, defeated the Giants twice last season and in Week 1 of this year. Marcus Mariota will start on Sunday.
