Technically, the Kansas City Chiefs were not involved in Super Bowl X, aside from tight end Travis Kelce being the team’s representative for the Walter Payton Player of the Year Award. The team’s other perennial Pro Bowler made a statement regarding next year’s big game.
Chris Jones was watching Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots and chose to share his thoughts on the game. The multiple-time Pro Bowler posted a message to the Super Bowl team and the rest of the league on his X account.

Kansas City has made five Super Bowl appearances and won three since the beginning of the Patrick Mahomes era, including three consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 2021 to 2024. After losing last year’s Super Bowl, Jones and the Chiefs finished third in the AFC West with a 6-11 record and missed the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.
In 17 starts in 2025, Jones had 29 tackles, seven sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 32 pressures. Kansas City will be looking to return to the big game and reclaim the title currently held by the Seahawks, who defeated the Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.
