With Brier curling set to return in 2026, the cure for curling’s post-Olympic drought is here.

St. John’s, Newfoundland, will host this year’s tournament, which will feature 18 men’s teams, including 2026 Olympic gold medalist Brad Jacobs, who will try to defend their titles.

While Jacobs will receive an outpouring of support following his recent victory in Italy, the gold medalist at the last Italian Winter Olympics is expected to receive even more support. St. John native Brad Gushue, a gold medalist at the 2006 Turin Olympics, said this will be his last competition, his 23rd. He has won the event six times and is hoping to take home the title.

Will the Briers get stuck in a Bullards battle this year, or will another team like Matt Dunstone’s Manitoba breakout?

Here’s everything you need to know to keep track of all things St. John’s.
